More than I can chew.

Operation "More Than I Can Chew" the intro.

It is my best friend in all the worlds birthday on Wednesday. We are having our traditional grave yard tea party in honour of the occasion. I think this is the 4th or 5th year we've done it. Last year I had gotten tattooed earlier in the day, so I sat oozing and a bit spaced drinking punch from a tea cup. This year I decided to bake a cake. Not just any cake. A three layer topsy turvy Mad Hatter cake. She loves the whole "Alice in Wonderland" thing so I figured this would be an epic idea.

The reason I have titled this post More Than I Can Chew are as follows -
1. I'm not a consistent baker, I'm either really good or frickin' awful.
2. I've never made a cake this big or this detailed before.
and the Piece de résistance..

3. I am a recently discovered dyspraxic. I say recently because I spent my whole life thinking I was just a clumsy oaf until an educational psychologist told  me I'm actually wired differently. Not that it changes much.. I'm still a clumsy oaf I just have a medical certificate now. For those of you unfamiliar with what this means, basically fine detailed motor functions are not my strong point ie. trying to gently icing a cake may end up with my person and surrounding area becoming an icing massacre.

I have decided to detail the process with writing and pictures to share the hilarity of this venture with others.
